McVideo Game, Part 2

I got my system figured out now. Don't spoil the land, don't let too many sick cows go through, and payoff everyone you can find. But don't worry too much about marketing--a $6,000 fine from some obesitygroup is better than paying $600 a month for two years to make sure I don't get sued.



...and yes, there is a reason that man doesn't look happy. Disgruntled employees don't bother me too much--they slow down production a little, but not enough to make me watch them 24/7. Trust me, there's a lot more crap going into these burger than some spit. At one point I think I had 5-6 mad cows accidently slip through.

McVideo game

For the record, I was not looking for porn when I discovered this interesting McVideo game.

Sometimes a game with a message is underdeveloped to get the word out quickly. This is not the case here. The McVideo game is robust and creative. The jury is still out as to whether it is truly winnable or solvable. You are in control of a flash-based fast food empire, controlling all aspects of production, sales, marketing and corporate politics.

Pretty impressive for a flash game with a message. Keep an eye on this post to see how far we get. GSTDOG posted the first impressive number in the screenshot above. Since there is no real high score feature, it's more of a max profit before the inevitable house of cards collapses. Part game skill and part PRINT SCREEN key timing skill.

Addicted to Star Wars

So, when it comes to fan created content, anything goes these days. But Addicted to Star Wars may be one of the coolest fan-created projects ever. From what I can gather, someone with an online persona of WOOKIE GROOMER over at http://www.originaltrilogy.com/ has been frustrated with Lucasfilm's lack of effort in releasing high def versions of the Star Wars trilogy. Since George and company have left the SW community high and dry, WOOKIE GROOMER decided to do something about it. Culling together as many high def sources of the movies as he could, he has single handedly reencoded and published all 6 movies in HD. He encoded each movie separately, even splitting out the different versions of each, like his DVD of SW:A New Hope (1977) vs SW:A New Hope (2004).

The catch is that you have to know how to download from alt.binaries.starwars. The coup de gras is Addicted to Star Wars, an 8GB encoding of all 6 Star Wars movies playing simultaneously on-screen. You can switch between audio tracks of each film, including an extra track with all 6 audio tracks playing simultaneously.

It's an amazing piece of fan content overall, and is one of those projects that turned out cooler than anyone could have anticipated.
