Hey, you got religion in my peanut butt..er, movie

Dear Christianty-

Please claim every popular movie as a symbol of religion and use each as a tool for preaching conservative, self-righteousness around the world.

Sincerely-
The Pagan Herd that is society

Finally, a study guide to explain the biblical imagery in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. While viewing the epic battle of good vs. evil lucky readers can dig into chapters like:

—The Struggle for Virtue(Romans 6:15-7:25; Philippians 2:1-3; 4:2-9)

—Resisting Power and Sin(Genesis 3:5; Matthew 4:1-11; Mark 1:11-12; Luke 4:1-13; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

Religion is everywhere and if some people had their way it would be the only thing, anywhere, but efforts like this remind me how pathetic, and yet resourceful, the fanatically faithful can be. An article or review can present an opinion, but crafting a document and calling it a study guide makes assumptions about the artists' original visions and twists them to meet an agenda. I suppose it gives someone, somewhere, something to do. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is no more about God as it is about New York City hot dog vendors.

Now there's a study guide: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy as it relates to the NYC Hot Dog Vendor manifesto.
